有2条线路，路近的是走临安於潜，但要翻越千秋关，省内路况不好，建议走广德：
杭州——宁国：杭州——湖州、【李家巷枢纽】（杭宁高速）——广德（申苏浙皖高速）——宁国（S215）。

杭州——建德、龙游（杭新景高速、龙游支线）——衢州、上饶、鹰潭、新余、萍乡、株洲（沪昆高速）——长沙（京港澳高速）——常德（长常高速）——张家界（张常高速）——景区（地方道路），近1300km，过路费约650元。

走小路，要不要收费不是很清楚：杭州——塘栖——新安（勾里）——新市——含山——练市。

永定的土楼很商业化，建议去南靖，可以塔下村（可住宿）为中心看土楼。
杭州——福建土楼群：杭州——上虞（杭甬高速）——【吴岙】（上三高速）——温州、福鼎、福州、泉州、漳州（沈海高速）——和溪（厦蓉高速）——适中（G319）——抚市、陈东、古竹、高头、塔下村（地方道路）。

杭州——徐州：
1、距离近，但要过南京绕城：杭州——湖州、溧阳、南京（杭宁高速、南京机场高速、南京绕城、长江二桥）——蚌埠（宁洛高速）——徐州（合徐高速、连霍高速【徐州南】），全程约660km，7-8小时。
2、距离略远，不过南京：杭州——湖州、长兴（杭宁高速）——广德（申苏浙皖高速）——宣城（宣广高速）——芜湖（芜宣高速）——肥东（合芜高速）——蚌埠、徐州（合徐高速、连霍高速【徐州南】），全程约700km，7-8小时。
3、其他还有走法，如：过镇江、扬州、淮安，等等。

杭州——上虞（杭甬高速）——【吴岙】（上三高速）——【温州东】（甬台温高速），然后经机场大道转黄山路，过灵昆大桥，经灵昆环岛路进入灵霓北堤、花岗大桥、洞头大桥、三盘大桥后，将会看到由旅游部门设置的棕色旅游景区指路交通标志，沿着这些交通标志穿过海滨大道，经过复兴路、新城大道到九厅，进入连港环岛公路后，就可以沿路分别到达洞头本岛的各个旅游景点了。
