Let's talk about culture difference

The globe seems smaller and smaller, we have had a global life with unconsiousness. As follows, we have to face one problem around us now: Culture Crash.
Some international visitors and students have such voices: why Chinese talk a lot just for a tiny thing, why most Chinese companies provide with lunch for their employees.
Do you have similar experience? share with us.

cultural shock is quite a thing to me in china in the beginning.

it seems i am localized very well........

Cultural differences have developed due to many reasons ,such as historic traditions and psychological and geographical differences.
We chinese think of tiny and daily things much more, because we are friendly and love life more.
We have free lunch every work day. I think our boss wants us to stay in the office to overwork for her , because she never tell us that we have lunch break!!

the boss should have self-examination in theory. But I believe he/she won't do that,after all, the profits is the most important thing for him/her to pursue for. Thus, let us adjust our work status furtively sometimes.

And I want to ask why so many chinese cannot afford their houses and they need to pay a lot for children's educations? Many foreign countries are free for the education.

Need I introduce my profile here to tell how many countries I have been to?

Well, talking about different culture doesn't want to say which culture is good, and the rests are bad, wherever among domestic regions, or at the global level, just a kind of easy way for all of us to understand that the people around us sometimes don't want to hurt us, it is just a culture stuff.

Every one has his own opinion and life value. Don't judge other poeple only as per yours. Easy to know respect others, get the respect back, but,difficult to do respect others, as follows, get the hostility back instead.

as i see it, a good personal integrity can eventually penetrate any culture difference, despite the fact that it may take some time to overcome.
like mochas already mentioned even chinese people in different area has cultural difference. That people can get well along with each other is not they share common culture background but they honor mutual respect. in this way the "crash" or "conflict" is surely avoidable.

yes, a charming person is generally with a good personality, and which does affect or determine some things among us.

Meanwhile, the environment can change us time from time, you know, it is a quit pratical world where we live. as long as ppl who change their part culture feel happy, then it doesn't matter at all.

Do you guys think some western ppl, e.g, from UK, they regard some things as quite serious ones? Let me make an example:

When most Chinese friends play pool/snooker, they mainly care how funny the playing is, not much concern the result. But the UK persons I have met, they do really care for the result, even it is just for an entertainment.
