vivlar,不要总是顶帖啊，给我们讲讲细节吧?
比如什么时候开始第一次活动，在哪里举行？
我觉得如果大家真的想去只要找一个交通方便的地方就可以吧～
另外活动里面要有什么内容？比如什么TOPIC之类？
总之，先把时间地点定下来，不然拖太长时间就没有积极性了～～～

另外，建议开个QQ群，方便联系。估计没有多少人天天CHECK EMAIL吧～

Since next Sat. (22.Dec.) is the Winter Day( it's my creation of 冬至), i suggest we have the English Club activity at morning or noon time, then we can still have time to spend the special winter day by each own.

Here are some topics i am interesting now, maybe we can talk this time:

-More and more Chinese people are interested in the western festivals, such as the Christmas, the Saint Valentine's Day,the Hallowmas, and so on. How much do you know about these festivals? The histories, the traditions,do we really know that?

-Now, lots of companies are preparing the coming Chinese New Year Party, what u want to have in this party?

however for the 1st topic, I feel it is very hard to have a deep conversation about the traditional festivals in English, for instance, you called “DONG ZHI’ as winter Day, but it should be winter solstice or midwinter. In my idea, it could be quite difficult to discuss the topic, not only because of the name of the traditional festival, but also the origin and tales about that.

Also, for the 2nd topic, well…to be honest I am not interested in that. What will happen even if we have a very good strategy about the spring festival party? Shall we have such a party someday? I doubt.

I am sorry about my words if you don’t like it, but I DO wanna thank you for organize the English Corner. Personally, I suggest discussing something special in this year, such as: what made you happy in 2007? What gave you the deepest impression in 2007? What is the most interesting thing for you in 2007? What is the best/worst thing? What did you gain/pay?

I appreciate for your work and continued effort for the English corner, wish we could have an amazing day!  Cheers.

1.彩虹城内的一家小咖啡馆，人均消费10-15元，适合10人以上。
