Do Punctuations correctly

do punctuations correctly.
1.  comma , :  1 space after a comma
2. period . :  2 spaces after a period
3. when three things are mentioned:  a, b, and c

2 spaces after a period 的意思貌似可以理解为大姨妈来过后两个人产生了距离感~

it's the first time i heard about these usage. i checked the internet and found the following:

"In the old days of typewriters using only monospaced fonts in which a period occupied as much horizontal space as any other letter, it was standard to double-space after each one to clearly separate out each sentence from the following one. However, when justified variable-width type is set for printing it has always been standard to use only one space between sentences. Modern computers produce type that is more like print, and most modern styles call for only one space after a period. This is especially important if you are preparing a text for publication which will be laid out from your electronic copy. If you find it difficult to adopt the one-space pattern, when you are finished writing you can do a global search-and-replace to find all double spaces and replace them with single spaces."

so it seems to me that we don't need to use double space after period any more since now we use computer to edit.

i also found sth about what so called serial comma, which is mentioned as the 3rd point in the thread.  there is a classic example to show how importand to use a comma before the conjunction "and". here goes the sentence:

  My heroes are my parents, Mother Teresa and the Pope.

  hehe, don't make such kinda joke...

2 spaces怎么了？2 spaces看得不是更清楚吗?再说了，space多几个还能算字符数么。

或许两种都可能吧. 我和朋友曾经也探讨过. 我现在的结论大概是:
纸质媒体是不是采用空两格, 而数字媒体一般采用不空

我现在的疑惑是,至少在新闻里, 现在世界上的一般规范并不是强求需要空两行

i taught style in writing for years.

doctoral students do their distertations based on this rule. if anyone has any issue raised against it, better check carefully before talking.

if posting for arguing, not my cup of tea.

this sentence can be read in few ways:

3. my heroes are my parents, (my mother is teresa my father is johhan paul 6)
